RACE SUMMARY: Jean a connu un bon départ, il était déjà en deuxième position dès le premier tour. Vers le 15e tour, Guy Jubinville (#24) a dépassé Jean, toujours pour la 2e position. Au 28e tour, Daniel Bélanger (#52) s'est immobilisé sur la piste causant le 1er drapeau jaune de la course. Lors du redépart, Jean s'est fait frappé accidentellement à une roue, perdant alors tout usage de ses freins. Il a tenté le plus que possible de demeurer en piste, même s'il perdait des positions. Il a finalement terminer 10e et Guy Jubinville (#24) a finalement gagné l'épreuve.

Jean had a good start passing two competitors to be in second place after the first lap. Around lap 15, Guy Jubinville (#24) passed Jean for second position. At lap 28, Daniel Bélanger (#52) stalled on the track for the first yellow flag of the race. On the restart, Jean scraped the wall with one of his wheels and eventually lost his brakes. He stayed in the race, but lost several positions. At the checkered flag, Jean found himself in 10th place, while Guy Jubinville (#24) won the race.
