Jocelyn Gagnon in Truck #88 had experienced mechanical troubles and couldn't start the race. During the pace laps, Truck #19 with Benoit Beauchamp at the wheel, came into the pits to top off his fuel cell and was penalized to the back of the pack. On Lap 9, Peter Cohen in Truck #46 broke his suspension and finished 14th. Just ten laps later, Jean-François Bouvrette blew a tire putting him a lap down, thus finishing 13th. Jean also lost a lap as he struggled with brake problems for the last 20 laps, but held on for an 11th place finish. The battle up front saw Gerry Bergeron in Truck #1 come up shy in 2nd place. Jonathan Bouvrette of Ste-Thérèse in Truck #41 had a better performance than his brother and made an inside pass on Bergeron with 2 laps to go for his first career win.

RACE LENGTH:  50 laps  (20 miles)   PRO LAB 50
STARTED:  15th of 15 drivers   FINISHED:  11th
Jean started his qualification heat in fifth position. Although the truck sports a new engine and transmission, Jean finished in eighth. During the heat, Jean hit the front stretch wall because he tangled with #8's Sylvain Caron. The #13 Pro-Truck had no mechanical damage, just some scratched paint on the body. In the main event, Jean started 15th and completed all 50 laps before finishing in 11th spot. There was only one yellow flag because Jean-François Bouvrette in the #20 truck had some mechanical problems and came to a complete stop on the track. The eventual winner of the race was Martin Marcoux in the #3 vehicle. After the race Jean said: "This new engine is very good, so the front of the truck was loose."

All in all Jean felt he had a good race. He drove his pro-truck between 2nd and 5th position during the first 25 laps. Then Nicolas Wittmer in Truck #91 spun in turn 1 and Jean went to the very outside to avoid Wittmer. This turn of events saw Jean restart in the last position. On lap 39, there was a big crash in turn 4. Again, Jean went to the extreme outside, but this time he hit Pierre Gratton in Truck #6. Jean had too much damage to repair and get back into the race. Winning for the second time in three races was Jonathan Bouvrette in Truck #41.

RACE SUMMARY: La finale fut bonne.
The NASCAR Craftsman 50 showed the skill of Jean Boisvert as he passed one third of the field despite starting in the scratch position. Jean's pro-truck #13 was good, but not perfect today. There is still much work to do on the vehicle in its recovery from last week's wreck. The feature saw Jean-François Bouvrette start from the pole and lead all 50 laps for the victory. The race had nary a yellow flag thereby demanding the drivers to succeed on racing ability over pit strategy.

Jean started on the outside of Row One in second position. On the second lap, Pierre Gratton in Pro-Truck #6 touched Jean in Turn Two dropping Jean into 11th position. Course/Race 1: Started 15th; Finished 11th.
RACE 1 SUMMARY:
The first race was rough for all the drivers. Hard hitting and bumping with side by side pancaking and more. Jean broke his radiator when he hit the back of a truck that outbraked the others by 30 feet. Between races, the team changed the radiator and fan. The entire team and especially the Bossé brothers (Serge and Denis) worked hard on getting the truck ready for the next race.

(4) #41 Jonathan Bouvrette (5) #77 Benoit Juteau

(4) #41 Jonathan Bouvrette (5) #46 Daniel Decoste

Course/Race 3: Started 5th; Finished 9th.
RACE 3 SUMMARY:
Finally, Jean started in 4th position because Sébastien Dussault (#96) came into pit lane before the start of the race. No problems for Jean, but he dropped in position because he started on the outside and got left out to dry. On lap 5, Daniel Decoste (#46) hit the wall in turn 3 and he stopped his truck at the end of turn 4 because his truck caught fire. The rescue team did a great job to put out the flames very quickly.

LOCATION:  Autodrome St. Eustache (St. Eustache, Quebec)
RACE LENGTH:   50 laps  (20 miles)   LUCAS OIL 50
STARTED:  11th;   FINISHED:  12th.

The Thibault Pontiac Buick GMC de Magog #13pro-truck was very good this day. After a bad start, Jean dropped back one position to 12th, but he would fight back to as high as 7th place. On lap 30, in turn 4, Jean couldn't avoid an accident which developed in front of him. Subsequently he smashed the radiator and lost all it's fluids. In the pit, the crew saw a big hole in the radiator and there wasn't enough time to repair it. Too bad because Jean had a good truck that was headed for a top 5 finish.
