Jean Boisvert's Racing Schedule
Sunday, May 5th, 2002 - 6:30 pm
LOCATION:  Autodrome St. Eustache (St. Eustache, Quebec)
RACE LENGTH:  100 laps  (40 miles)   HAVOLINE 100
STARTED:  13th of 14 participants.  No Qualifying Time.
RACE SUMMARY:  Excited about the start of a new season with great new sponsors, Jean found himself at the back of the field for the Havoline 100. All drivers seemed to behave themselves as only two caution flags waved throughout the entire race. Unfortunately for Jean, he had accelerator/throttle problems and pulled into the garage area after only 26 laps for safety reasons. Karl Allard led the first ten laps from the pole before Steve Robblee in car #28 would take over for the next nine. Steve Maheux in Car #60 led Lap 20, then Robblee took over for the next two laps before Maheux regained the lead for the next five. Robblee would lead for the rest of the race from Lap 28 to the finish. Local favourite Richard Beauchamp placed second in car #74. The Jean Boisvert team now has three weeks to get the Chevrolet Monte Carlo ready for the next race at Autodrome St. Eustache on May 25th.

Andre Coursol in Car #18 took over on Lap 24 before being surpassed 18 laps later by Car #1 driven by Claude LeClerc. For the next 35 laps, LeClerc led the pack before Steve Maheux in Car #60 would finish the last 24 round trips for the victory. The race was run very clean and took only 38 minutes and 23 seconds to complete.
